I just want to clear a few things up with everyone….. I started this page to tell my story, for people to connect with and hopefully find motivation to never give up on them-self or their goals…. To know the “impossible” is just a word….
To know that you can beat the odds, whether it’s a diagnoses of a spinal cord injury, struggling at school, in a bad relationship and knowing you deserve better, to learn how to cope with the loss of loved ones and to live for them, to appreciate the life you have and be grateful for what you have, to know that there’s someone out there worse off than you, who would be grateful to have your problems, because theirs are worse…..
I know I walk, but the only thing in my body I can use 100%, is my eye brows, every single day is a struggle, but I find ways to focus on what makes me happy, always making new goals. I constantly challenge myself…
I know not everyone will walk again, I never tell people they will walk again, I just don’t want people to give up on themselves, I want them to find the inner strength to fight….
Over the past 14 years I’ve watched people give up the fight, never move again and some have even died, in some cases, because of what a doctor has told them. I don’t get anywhere in life by lying or giving people false hope, when I talk about recovery I’m not talking about “walking”…. I’m talking about not giving up on yourself, whether it’s learning to breath on your own, move a finger, move a leg, learn to transfer on your own, to find the strength to get out of a bad relationship, to know that just because you’re not good at school it doesn’t mean your a “failure”…..
“Be relentless at life, no matter your situation”…… My kindest regards… Josh W
